
Yaw Adjei Abrampah
Yaw is a Ghanaian-trained civil engineer with an interest in water. He is pursuing an MSc in Water Science, Policy and Management at the School of Geography and the Environment, University of Oxford. Yaw is a Mastercard Foundation AfOx scholar and a member of Linacre College.
Before joining Oxford, Yaw applied his engineering talents at Ghana Water Limited's Project Planning and Development (PPD) department. He was recognised for his work in restructuring the development phase of the Ghana-Togo transboundary water supply project and as a project engineer for Pro-Poor Water Initiatives nationwide. Yaw was among the five winners of the 2022 World Bank Utility of the Future Global Youth Challenge.
He holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Civil Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi. He has a Professional Certificate in Investment Appraisal and Risk Analysis from the University of Ghana Business School.
Yaw aims to become a leading global water consultant, driven by the belief that water is inextricably linked to socio-economic development. He hopes to inspire innovative solutions that foster sustainable, thriving, and resilient communities.
