
Miriam Atuya
Miriam Atuya is pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. She is a Mastercard Foundation AfOx Scholar and a member of Christ Church.
Before joining Oxford, Miriam served as an Associate at CrossBoundary's Innovation Lab in Nairobi, where she worked with minigrid developers, technology partners, and policymakers to improve business models and attract investment to the minigrid sector. She has also worked with leading organisations such as CrossBoundary, Open Capital Advisors, AlphaMundi, and Amethis.
Miriam has successfully supported both private and public sector clients across East and West Africa, working in both Anglophone and Francophone markets. Her expertise includes transactions and strategy, with a particular focus on agriculture, renewable energy, consumer goods, and water and sanitation.
She holds a BSc in Economics and French Studies from Trinity College, Hartford.
After completing her MBA, Miriam aims to combine private sector initiatives with policy work to promote sustainable growth in Africa, with a focus on agriculture and renewable energy as key drivers of the continent’s development.
