Melvin Katey Agbogbatey

Melvin Agbogbatey is a medical doctor currently specialising in community medicine. He is a Mastercard Foundation AfOx Scholar taking the PGDip in Global Health Research at the University of Oxford. He is a former WHO-TDR Scholar, a 2023 ISARIC Clinical Fellow, and a research fellow with the Global Health and Infectious Disease Research Group at the Kumasi Centre for Collaborative Research in Tropical Medicine, Ghana. He has contributed to research and policy with several international consortia, including The Lancet One Health Commission, UNAIDS, the African Coalition for Epidemic Research Response and Training (ALERRT), and the International Severe Acute and Emerging Respiratory Infections Consortium (ISARIC). His expertise includes community medicine, implementation science, clinical trials, and clinical research on snakebite envenoming.

Melvin aims to leverage this program at Oxford to consolidate his theoretical foundations, experience and networks in order to maximise his on-going contributions to global health.
