Hussein Ibrahim

Hussein Ibrahim is a medical doctor specializing in digital health interventions and global health. He is currently studying for an MSc in Applied Digital Health at the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, University of Oxford. Hussein is a Mastercard Foundation AfOx scholar and a member of Wolfson College.

Before coming to Oxford, Hussein worked as the project coordinator for the Sudan Telemedicine Emergency Program, delivering essential healthcare to underserved patients. He also contributed to humanitarian efforts, volunteering with the Sudanese American Medical Association and Qatar Red Crescent. Hussein holds a First Class Honours Bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Khartoum. During his studies, he represented Sudan in the International Federation of Medical Students' Associations, engaged in medical research, and organized medical outreach to rural communities in Sudan.

At Oxford, Hussein aims to expand his knowledge of healthcare AI, machine learning, and digital health regulations. His goal is to develop innovative solutions to healthcare challenges in Africa and globally, improving patient outcomes and fostering the growth of digital health systems in underserved regions.
