Ebenezer Abdul-Hakim Agetiba

Ebenezer Abdul-Hakim Agetiba is pursuing an MPhil in Comparative Government at the University of Oxford's Department of Politics and International Relations. He is a member of Somerville college.

Hailing from northern Ghana, Ebenezer has overcome significant challenges as a visually impaired individual. His personal experiences growing up in a community that marginalized people with disabilities have fueled his passion for disability rights advocacy. With a background in mentoring and supporting individuals with disabilities, Ebenezer has dedicated himself to promoting inclusive social policies and encouraging political representation for marginalized groups.

He previously completed an MSc in African Studies at Oxford in 2023 and earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Ghana in 2020.

After completing his studies at Oxford, Ebenezer plans to further his work in disability rights advocacy in Ghana and Africa. He intends to contribute to democratic reforms that enhance the political participation of persons with disabilities, aiming to create a more inclusive society through both research and active engagement in policy development.
