Chinenye Chukwu-Mba

Chinenye Chukwu-Mba is a MasterCard Foundation AfOx Scholar from Nigeria, pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Global Health Research through the University of Oxford's Nuffield Department of Clinical Medicine via distance learning.

She brings extensive experience in pharmaceutical care and strengthening health systems. Recently, she worked in HIV care, where she advised on screening and preventive measures for at-risk patients, provided comprehensive medication counselling, and closely monitored adherence to antiretroviral therapy (ART).

Chinenye holds a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy with distinction from the University of Nigeria and is currently studying for an MSc in Global Health and Infectious Diseases at the University of Edinburgh, supported by the Edinburgh Global Online Learning Scholarship.

After her studies at Oxford University, she plans to join an institute dedicated to addressing infectious disease challenges across Africa. Her research will focus on epidemiology, clean water access, and preventing antimicrobial resistance. She aims to lead public health interventions in rural and underserved communities, promoting water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), maternal and child health, responsible antibiotic use, and disease vector control.
