Anita is a health data scientist from Kenya with a BSc in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology. She is pursuing her MSc in International Health and Tropical Medicine under the Nuffield Department of Medicine as a Mastercard Foundation AfOx scholar at Reuben College.

Before joining Oxford, Anita worked at the Centre for Epidemiological Modelling and Analysis (CEMA-Africa) at the University of Nairobi. During her time there, she collaborated with the Ministry of Health and other government bodies by providing valuable health-related analytical insights to aid policy and decision-making processes. Anita's research interests include the application of epidemiological modelling to tackle pressing public health challenges, particularly in infectious disease control.

Post-MSc, Anita hopes to further her research interests through a doctorate in population health sciences, with a focus on global health policy. This will enhance her expertise in conducting scientific research and translating its findings into actionable policies that can drive positive change on a broader scale. With her commitment to creating impactful solutions, Anita aspires to make a meaningful contribution to global health.
