Anuoluwatoyosi Onikosi

Anuoluwatoyosi is a lawyer specialising in project finance, investments, and capital markets. She is pursuing an MSc in Law and Finance at the University of Oxford. She is a Standard Bank Africa Chairman’s Scholar and a member of Wadham College.

Before Oxford, Anuoluwatoyosi worked as a full-time associate at Banwo & Ighodalo – a leading commercial law firm in Nigeria. She advised clients ranging from government agencies to the private sector on energy and infrastructure deals, shaping her career through practical experience, research, and discourse. Her work involved transforming complex theoretical financing arrangements into workable modules, which financed various energy and infrastructure projects in Nigeria. 

She obtained an LL.B from the University of Lagos and has earned certifications from the World Bank Group, Yale University, and Università Bocconi in Milan.

After Oxford, Anuoluwatoyosi hopes to work at a development finance organisation focused on Africa. She aspires to be a thought leader and policy influencer, contributing to sustainable financial policies for African development.
